PROVO, UTAH and GRENOBLE, FRANCE, Oct. 24, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Sovrin Foundation, an international nonprofit that administers a decentralized digital identity network, welcomes TwinPeek as its newest Founding Steward of the Sovrin Network. TwinPeek, a technology startup dedicated to keeping digital data private and secure, is the Foundation’s first Steward to operate a validator node in France.

As a Steward, TwinPeek will contribute to the security and reliability of the Sovrin Network by maintaining and operating its validator node in consensus with the nodes of all the Sovrin Stewards. The Foundation has designated more than 40 trusted organizations as Stewards which ensure the network runs effectively.

TwinPeek focuses on privacy for web users and data protection for businesses. By using TwinPeek’s app, internet users can use the Internet with the confidence that their digital data are secure. The company also provides innovative fintech services to organizations that believe in the importance of maintaining their customers’ privacy and security.

“TwinPeek’s mission to help internet users regain control of their online identity falls perfectly in line with that of the Sovrin Network,” said Heather Dahl, Executive Director and CEO of the Sovrin Foundation. “TwinPeek becoming one of Sovrin’s Stewards is a natural relationship, and we look forward to seeing how Sovrin can potentially help TwinPeek generate new digital identities and claims for its clients.”

The similarity in mission led TwinPeek to understand the possibilities of improving its services to customers by utilizing the Sovrin Network. By running a node on the network, TwinPeek hopes to provide the lowest latency services possible.

“TwinPeek is delighted to join the Sovrin Foundation as a Founding Steward,” said Sam Guilaume, CEO of TwinPeek. “Our vision is well-aligned with the Sovrin Foundation and self-sovereign identity, so we can expect to help people reclaim their data and privacy on the internet with state-of-the-art cryptography and security.”

The Sovrin Network is a global public utility for identity open for anyone to use and build on. TwinPeek is one of many organizations that are using the Sovrin Network to change the way in which individuals control their digital identity.
