The Sovrin Foundation brings together developers, enterprises, business and government leaders, NGOs, volunteers, and employees from all around the world to build the future of SSI while working to serve the needs of identity holders everywhere.

GOVERNANCE: The Sovrin Foundation provides the Governance Framework of the Sovrin Network—the legal foundation of the network as a global public utility for SSI. The Sovrin Foundation acts as the unbiased, partisan support, ensuring the network is not controlled or owned by one industry or company.

NETWORK OPERATIONS: The Sovrin Foundation performs the continued maintenance and monitoring of the Sovrin Network (including the Main Net, Staging Net, and Builder Net). Sovrin Technical Staff manages organized code contribution efforts across the Sovrin open source developer community.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Participates as an active member of various policy, standards, and community organizations (W3C, DIF, GDPR, etc.), influencing the global adoption of SSI and spreads the good word of SSI through whitepapers, blogs, press releases, presentations, event participation, and more.

SSI ADVOCACY: The Sovrin Foundation creates opportunities for its members to network with industry leaders and learn about SSI development and adoption as they build SSI based use cases. Sovrin coordinates the interaction and engagement within the Sovrin open source developer community.

Your Sovrin Membership goes to support this important work and the individuals working to make it happen.
